Online streaming platform Hulu’s How I Met Your Mother spin-off ‘How I Met Your Father’ is all set for release next year in January.
The news was announced in a video featuring series stars Hilary Duff, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tien Tran, Chris Lowell, and Tom Ainsley in the lead. The premiere date is set for 18th January 2022.
Written by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, How I Met Your Father tells the story of Sophie (Duff) who is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends – Jesse (Lowell), Valentina (Raisa), Charlie (Ainsley), Ellen (Tran) and Sid (Sharma) in her life.

Besides, Duff and others, the recurring cast includes Daniel Augustin, Ashley Reyes, and Josh Peck. The pilot episode will be helmed by HIMYM director Pam Fryman, who directed 196 out of 208 episodes of the original series.
