QUETTA: Gas supply to CNG stations in Sindh and Balochistan will be suspended from 14th to 17th September with effect from 12 noon tomorrow.
According to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), CNG stations and RLNG will be closed from 12 noon tomorrow night to 8 am on Saturday. Engro LNG terminal docking will reduce gas in the system.
According to SSGC, the decision to block gas in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been withdrawn due to dry-docking. As per the new schedule, the duration of dry-docking was changed during the change of FSRU bringing LNG.
Drydocking will be done from 14th to 17th September under the revised program at Engro Terminal during FSRU conversion. In the meantime, due to docking, the RLNG in the SSGC system will be reduced from 75 to 150 MMCFD.

A spokesman for the SSGC said that Sui Southern Company was facing difficulties in meeting the needs of domestic and commercial customers due to low-pressure gas. Gas supply to all CNG stations will be restored on 18th September at 8 am.
It may be recalled that earlier the CNG Association had indicated the possibility of another increase in CNG prices across the country. All Pakistan CNG Association leader Ghias Paracha said 10 days ago that the price of CNG in Punjab would increase by Rs 18 per liter, after which the price of CNG in Punjab and Islamabad could be Rs 125 per liter.
