ISLAMABAD: US diplomat Alice Wells is expected to arrive in the capital today on a five-day visit. Important sessions will be held between both the countries in the upcoming days.
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Ambassador Alice Wells will hold a meeting with military leadership to discuss bilateral issues and Afghan Peace Process.
Last week, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad visited Pakistan where he was welcomed by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood. During the visit Khalilzad was assured of Pakistan’s full cooperation for the restoration of long-lasting peace in war-torn Afghanistan.
This would be the second visit of diplomat Alice Wells during this year, as she visited earlier in April 2019 to discuss economic and business relations.
