The throat-slit bodies of three young men, including two real brothers, have been recovered from a forest in the Neelum Valley district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The victims were identified as Nasir, Yasir, and Faisal. All three bodies were found in a stream within the Jagran Forest.
According to the grieving relatives, the bodies of real brothers Nasir and Yasir, residents of Cholai, had their throats slit, while fresh blood was still flowing from Faisal’s body.
The family said that the three youths had been missing for over two months. They had gone to the Jagran Forest on June 6 to search for herbs, but all contact with them was lost after June 7.
The families of the missing youths had filed missing person reports at various police stations. According to the relatives, despite searching for more than two months, no trace of the three young men could be found.
Upon receiving the information, police took custody of the three bodies and transferred them to a hospital for post-mortem examinations.
SHO Wajahat Kazmi said that an investigation into the incident is underway and police are examining various aspects of the case. According to him, missing person reports for the three youths had already been registered, and further legal action will be taken following the identification of the bodies.
The SHO added that further details regarding the incident will be shared once the post-mortem report is released.
