UAE authorities deported 275 Pakistanis, released from prisons just before Eidul Fitr as they returned home to celebrate the holiday with their families.
The Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) facilitated this repatriation in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies.
According to the Pakistani diplomatic mission in the UAE, over 270 Pakistani inmates were released during Ramadan, with most choosing to return home for Eid celebrations. However, some individuals lacking proper documentation did not depart.
PAD’s annual Ramadan Welfare Campaign successfully distributed food packages to 950 families and provided daily iftar meals to over 250 individuals at the local Pakistani Mosque in Oud Metha.
Faisal Sunka, PAD’s welfare director, expressed gratitude for the community’s support in assisting those in need, emphasizing the importance of remembering those with limited resources, especially during Eid celebrations.
Through a recent partnership with the UPS Foundation, food packages were delivered to 100 deserving families, benefiting 400 individuals.
Sunka highlighted the organization’s commitment to providing affordable medical care at the Pakistan Medical Centre (PMC), where over 60% of patients received free treatment in 2023 as part of the organization’s medical welfare services.
