NEW YORK: Nearly 1.9 million people have been infected by the COVID-19 around the world and the death toll by the virus has reached 119,813.
So far 423,625 people have recovered from the pandemic globally. Around 1,930,233 million declared cases have been registered in 200 countries since the epidemic first emerged in China in December.Â
New York State has set a single-day record of COVID-19 deaths with a number surpassing 700. Overall in the United States, nearly 587,155 cases were confirmed, including more than 23,664 deaths.Â
Italy has 20,000 fatalities, with 566 people dying to the disease in the last 24 hours. Spain, the European country which had the most reported coronavirus infections, recorded 17,902 fatalities with 547 in a single day and 170,099 infections.
China, excluding Hong Kong and Macau, has to date declared 3,341 deaths and 82,249 cases, with 77,663 recoveries. France has reported 574 deaths in a single day, taking the tally to 15,000 deaths and 132,779 cases.
The United Kingdom has reported 717 deaths during the last 24 hours, 11,329 fatalities and 88,621 infections. Coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 300 people across India and has affected more than 10,000 people.
Iran has recorded 4,585 deaths from COVID-19 and nearly 73,303 cases were confirmed in the country. So far 45,983 people are reported to be recovered from the virus.
