WASHINGTON: The coronavirus has infected 48,437,594 people and killed 1,230,991 people worldwide.
The number of recovered people from coronavirus has risen to 34.67 million and there are 12.53 million active cases. The United States ranks first among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 239,000 deaths and 9,813,335 infected.
India ranks second in the world in terms of coronavirus cases, with 1,23,650 deaths and more than 83,112,000 people diagnosed with the virus.
The total number of deaths from coronavirus in Brazil is one lakh 61 thousand 170 and more than 55 lakh 90 thousand people are affected. In Russia, more than 1.693 million people have been infected with the coronavirus, bringing the total death toll to 29,217.

In France, more than 1.543 million people were affected and 38,674 lost their lives. More than 1.356 million people have been affected in Spain, while 38,118 people have died.
In Argentina, more than 1.25 million people have been affected and 32,520 have died. More than 32,000 deaths have been reported in Colombia, while 1.18 million cases have been reported.
The world’s first death from coronavirus was reported on 11th January 2020 in China. On April 9, the total death toll from coronavirus rose to 100,000. The first 100,000 deaths from coronavirus were reported in the first 89 days.
