KARACHI: Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has finally hit five million followers on YouTube, making him the first Pakistani singer to achieve the milestone.
Taking to Instagram, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan thanked his fans for their love and support.
He was also awarded an honorary degree from the prestigious Oxford University last year in June. Khan is among eight other individuals who have received their honorary degrees at the ceremony.
Oxford University had described him as a “Pakistani singer, primarily of Qawali, a devotional music of Muslim Sufis” while announcing that he will be conferred with an honorary degree.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is the nephew of sub-continents legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He has sung more than a hundred and fifty songs in his career.
