KARACHI: A South African security delegation has visited the National Stadium in Karachi to review security and bio-security arrangements.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Director International Cricket Zakir Khan briefed the South African delegation. Law enforcement officials were also present on the occasion.
The delegation also visited the dressing room, pavilion, stands, and surveillance center through hidden cameras. The delegation also inspected the bus carrying the players and expressed satisfaction over all the arrangements.
Later, the four-member delegation also visited the headquarters of the Police Special Security Unit. The delegation was briefed on the security arrangements at the National Stadium.

The delegation was informed that SSU commandos are equipped with modern weapons and communication systems and the force is ready to deal with any untoward situation.
It should be noted that in case of formal approval of the security delegation, the South African cricket team will arrive in Pakistan on 21st January. South Africa security delegation had arrived in Pakistan on Monday to inspect the arrangements with a view to playing in the country in early 2021.
