KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan has been working collaboratively with Malaysia on the media projects about Islam.
While addressing a joint press conference alongside Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, the prime minister said that we would develop content for youth about the message of Islam.
Highlighting the ban of India on Malaysia, Imran Khan said that Pakistan would try its best to recompense for the palm oil loss suffered by Malaysia after New Delhi imposed a ban on trade with Kaula Lampur.
He also appreciated his Malaysian premier for raising his voice on the issue of IoK which has been under lockdown for the last six months.
While criticising the ongoing atrocities in IoK by the Indian government, the prime minister said, “The extremist government has taken over India and has put Kashmiris in a prison.”
The prime minister addressing the Malaysian premier said, “The way you have stood with us against Indian and spoken about the injustice in IoK, I want to thank you for that.”
Speaking about the Kaula Lampur Summit held in Malaysia last month, Imran Khan said that he was sad that he could not attend the conference.
He also said, “Some of the people felt that the conference would divide the Ummah, which was not the purpose of the conference.”
“I feel that that it is the duty of the Muslim countries to educate the western countries and other nations about Islam,” he added.
Both premiers had agreed for regular discussions to strengthen the trade and investment relations by removing barriers in key areas.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Minister for Planning Asad Umar, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razzak Dawood and Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood had also accompanied the prime minister in his tour to Malaysia.
