KARACHI: Police have arrested a woman identified as Mehak for allegedly throwing chemicals on her 17-year-old neighbor, Aqsa Ehsan, in an incident that occurred in Surjani Town’s Sector C6.
According to SSP West Tariq Elahi Mastoi, police took immediate action following the incident and detained the accused. Initial police reports indicate that the chemical attack took place during a domestic or neighborly dispute between the two.
Police confirmed that Aqsa was immediately shifted to a local hospital where she is receiving medical assistance. Her injuries are reported as minor.
SSP West Tariq Elahi Mastoi stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the incident, including the nature of the chemical used and other relevant facts.
“Legal action is being taken against the arrested accused Mehak as per the law,” Mastoi said. “Further legal action will be taken once the investigation is completed.”
The case has been registered and police are collecting evidence and recording statements to establish the motive behind the alleged attack.
