The wait is finally over for fans of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday. The second half of Season 2 premiered today, bringing the Addams Family spinoff to a thrilling close while laying the groundwork for an entirely new direction in Season 3.
Season 2 debuted in August with four episodes, followed by today’s release of the final four. While many praised the sophomore run as a strong follow-up to the smash-hit first season, some viewers expressed frustration over Netflix’s split-season format.
After a three-year gap between seasons, the mid-season break felt like an unnecessary pause in momentum.
Despite that gripe, Part 2 delivers in spades. Jenna Ortega once again shines in the title role, but it is Emma Myers—who plays Enid Sinclair, Wednesday’s colorful roommate—who steals the show in Episode 6.
The standout hour-long installment employs a clever “Freaky Friday”-style twist that allows Ortega and Myers to swap personas, making for some of the most entertaining moments of the season.
Part 2 also expands on character arcs introduced earlier, with Agnes (Evie Templeton) and her invisibility powers becoming more central to the plot. Fan favorites like Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday) and Ajax (Georgie Farmer) return, while a rising body count keeps Nevermore Academy as perilous as ever.
With loose ends neatly tied up and new mysteries teased, Wednesday Season 2 leaves fans eager for what’s next. Netflix has not yet confirmed a release date for Season 3.
