ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with wind and thunder in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, South Punjab, and Upper Sindh during the next 24 hours.
Partly cloudy with gusty winds/gusty winds and thundershowers at a few places over Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas.
The PMD has warned that heavy rains in Balochistan from April 25 to 27 may lead to floods in Nushki, Chagai, Kharan, Turbat, Kech, Gwadar, Awaran, Ziarat, Pashin, Harnai, Zhob, Barkhan, and Naseerabad.
Heavy rains may cause floods in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Mansehra, Kohistan, and Kashmir on April 27 and 28. Landslides in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to affect vulnerable areas from April 27 to 29.
The Meteorological Department has said that wind/hail and lightning may affect human lives, standing crops, and loose structures like electric poles, vehicles, and solar panels during this period.
During the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in most parts of the country, while it was hot in the southern regions.
High winds/storms and thundershowers occurred at a few places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas.
