NEW YORK: The birth rate of children has decreased by 2 percent, after recovering from the coronavirus in the United States.
According to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of births in the United States fell to 3,591,328 in 2023 from 3,667,758 a year earlier.
A decrease in the birth rate of children was also seen in the United States from 2015 to 2020, but in 2021, this rate increased by one percent.
Birth rates for women aged 25 to 34 in the U.S. have declined by about 2.5 percent since the recovery from the coronavirus, while birth rates for women aged 20 to 24 have declined by 4 percent.
The birth rate among 18-19-year-olds has declined by 3 percent. The birth rate among Hispanic American women has increased by 1 percent since the recovery from the coronavirus.
The rate of cesarean section births in the United States has increased for the fourth year in a row to 32.4 percent.
