The latest release of documents tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has shed new light on the powerful social and professional networks he maintained before his death as the newly unsealed files mention a wide range of prominent figures from politics, business, and technology, including President Donald Trump, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and SpaceX founder Elon Musk.
The disclosure follows a bipartisan congressional mandate requiring the public release of all Epstein-related investigative records. According to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, the release marks the conclusion of the Trump administration’s planned disclosures and includes roughly three million pages of documents, along with thousands of videos and images.
Among those named is Kevin Warsh, recently nominated by Trump to chair the Federal Reserve, whose name appeared in correspondence referencing a holiday gathering. The files also detail past communications and meeting invitations involving Lutnick and Epstein, some of which contrast with Lutnick’s public statements denying close ties. A Commerce Department spokesperson said Lutnick engaged only in limited interactions and has never been accused of wrongdoing.
The documents also reference exchanges between Epstein and Musk, who declined an invitation to Epstein’s private island, and include allegations made by Epstein about Gates, which the Gates Foundation has denied. The release has prompted scrutiny from Democrats, who question whether all relevant materials were made public.
