ISLAMABAD: A Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has stored the rainy water at the Tarbela and Mangla dams.
In this regard, the WAPDA spokesperson said that the water was stored at full capacity in Tarbela and Mangla dams, the water level in Tarbela dam is 1,550 feet and the water level in Mangla dam is 1,242 feet.
According to the spokesperson, the water storage in Tarbela today is 59.8 million acre-feet and the water storage in Mangla today is 73.56 million acre-feet while the water inflow in Tarbela is 233,600 cusecs, outflow 244400 cusecs and water inflow in Mangla is 149400 cusecs. Kiosk, emissions are 10,000 cusecs.
According to WAPDA, the water inflow in Chashma is 216,100 cusecs, the outflow is 235,500 cusecs and the water inflow at Head Marala is 255,400 cusecs and the outflow is 250,400 cusecs.
The spokesman said that the Chenab River is flooded at Headmarala Khanki and Qadirabad, while the Kabul River at Nowshera has an inflow and outflow of 46,600 cusecs and the spring has a storage capacity of 98,000-acre feet.
