US military buries remains of Al-Baghdadi at sea
WASHINGTON: US military buried the body of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi at sea, Pentagon sources confirmed on Monday.
According to sources, no details were disclosed regarding when the remains of Baghdadi were disposed of.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed the news saying, “The disposal of his remains has been done, is complete and was handled appropriately.”
He also informed that burial was according to the standard of US military procedure and “in accordance with the law of armed conflict.”
Media reports also added that the body was removed from the scene and taken for bio-metrics and DNA tests.

The process later confirmed that it was of Al-Baghdadi.
Earlier, Daesh chief killed himself during the raid by detonating a suicide vest after fleeing into a dead-end tunnel.
