Umer Sharif likely to leave for US in air ambulance today

KARACHI: An air ambulance carrying ailing comedian Umer Sharif to the United States for treatment is likely to arrive today. 

All preparations have been completed for the departure of the legendary comedian to the United States and the air ambulance carrying him will land at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi at any time today.

The air ambulance that will take ailing overseas for medical treatment has been arranged by the Sindh government. It should be noted that the expenditure of Rs 40 million has been issued by the Sindh government for Sharif’s travel expenses and other medical expenses.

Umer Sharif’s son Jawad Umer in this regard said that the Sindh government has paid for the air ambulance and he has also received an e-mail about it.

According to Jawad Umer, the main reason for the delay in departure is that the process definitely takes time. He said that his father will soon get well once he gets treatment from the US.

It is to be noted that actor Umer Sharif has been unwell for some time now. According to his son Jawad Umer, his father is suffering from a heart condition and is undergoing treatment.
