Two KDA officials illegally appointed at important posts

KARACHI: The higher management has illegally appointed two officials at major posts of Karachi Development Authority (KDA), it has been revealed.

According to details, the management has appointed suspicious officers at major posts, whose employment record is not available with both Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and Karachi Development Authority (KDA).

Sources prior to the development informed that Director General KDA Asif Ikram has illegally transferred KMC Grade 18 officer Raza Qaim Khani to KDA Grade 19. Sources further revealed that the illegal appointments are contrary to the orders of the Supreme Court.

Relevant sources in development authority informed that due to the influence of Raza Qaim Khani, suspicious and corrupt officers in the Land Department who were earlier removed from their posts due to corruption are now being re-appointed as key regional officers.

Earlier, it has been revealed that former Director-General of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi Nasir Awan, along with other officials, are involved in the illegal allotment of cancelled plots worth billions of rupees in Lines Area Redevelopment Project (LARP).
