KARACHI: The district police have arrested two men involved in looting Rs 4.3 million from a petrol pump’s manager on August 31 in Karachi’s Quaidabad area.
According to details, a seven-member gang of arrested accused was involved in more than 50 robberies in different parts of the city for the last several weeks.
A police spokesperson informed that the action was taken on intelligence reports near Muzaffarabad Colony. A case has been registered against the arrested accused under several provisions.
The police spokesperson further informed that the raid team has also recovered weapons used in the incident.
Earlier in October, the district police arrested two robbers in injured condition after an encounter near Karachi’s Nipa flyover.
Sources said that police official engaged in an ‘exchange of fire’ with two alleged dacoits after the personnel tried to stop them while snap checking in the area.
