ISLAMABAD: A list of the most corrupt institutions of Pakistan has been released in which the police were on the top.
According to National Corruption Perception Survey 2021 conducted by Transparency International Pakistan finds the police and judiciary are the most corrupt institutions in the country.
According to the report of Transparency International, which is active in the fight against corruption, the fourth most corrupt institution in Pakistan is Health, the fifth is Land Administration and the sixth is Local Government. Education is ranked seventh, taxation is ranked eighth and NGOs are ranked ninth.
The Transparency International report states that 51.9 percent of people believe that the biggest cause of corruption in Pakistan is the weakness of the accountability process. According to 29.3 percent of the people, the reason is the greed of powerful people.

According to a report by Transparency International, 18.8 percent of Pakistanis believe that low salaries are the main cause of corruption. 85.6 percent believe that the federal government’s self-accountability is unsatisfactory. Institutions do not do their job well.
