QUETTA: The Chaman passenger train from Quetta to interior Balochistan, which was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was resumed after seven months.
According to details, the Chaman passenger train from Quetta to Chaman was restarted after a seven-month hiatus. The Railway official Akhtar Marwat allows departing Chaman train from Quetta railway station.
While talking to media Akhtar Marwat said that the Bolan Express from Quetta to Karachi and the train from Harnai would also be restored soon due to which vegetables and other commodities would be able to reach Quetta by cheap means.
Bugti Express to Lahore will also be restored. Special arrangements have been made for cleanliness in trains, he added.
According to railway officials, the Chaman Passenger from Quetta to Chaman was closed on March 24 due to the spread of the Coronavirus.
