KARACHI: All Pakistan Organization of Small Traders and Cottage Industries (APSTCI)-Karachi President Mahmood Hamid has said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah should make a clear announcement regarding the opening of markets in Sindh.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Mahmood Hamid said that the traders were disappointed as they were being forced to starve despite the peak season of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He said that the announcement of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to open smalls shops only in neighborhood areas had upset the traders.
Hamid further said that the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) should also be taken into confidence with regard to the opening of markets in the province, he added.
Earlier, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had refuted the rumors regarding the ending of province-wide lockdown and clarified that the lockdown was entering in the second phase.
According to a tweet shared by CM Office, “Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has categorically said that Sindh was not ending the lockdown on Monday and we are entering the second phase of lockdown with some extra restrictions, particularly at hotspots.”
