KARACHI: Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said that Tiger Force is being fully activated across the province and an important national task is being given to Tiger Force in the current situation.
This he said while chairing a meeting in Karachi on Monday. The meeting also reviewed the arrangements to further activate Tiger Force in the province and other matters.
Imran Ismail said that the Sindh government will assign specific tasks to doctors who had volunteered to be part of PM’s Corona Relief Tiger Force in the province.
“No one really knows how long this disease will last. Therefore, everyone needs to play their role,” he added. He urged people to follow the precautionary measures and practice social distancing to save lives.
He said, “We have to be careful because all of our efforts will go in vain if people don’t implement precautionary measures.”
He said the federal government had taken solid measures in all hospitals, utilizing the utmost available resources to battle the coronavirus on an emergency basis.
The governor said the officials had started a campaign to ensure compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures and safety precautions at markets and public places to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Special committees have been established in all provinces to ensure that SOPs are followed at large markets, industrial areas as well as by transport operators, he added.
Imran Ismail said those violating the procedures will be penalized and public places such as markers could be sealed.
