Famous singer The Weeknd is all set to make his movie debut alongside Jenna Ortegato.
Tesfaye has been developing the project for some time and in recent months came to Shults about directing it. Besides his debut as a leading actor, The Weeknd is a cowriter and as well as the coproducer of the movie.
Besides Wednesday star Ortega, the movie will also feature Barry Keoghan. The shooting is already underway in Los Angeles, though details regarding the plot have not yet been revealed.

The Weeknd and Shults wrote the film with Reza Fahim, who also worked alongside him while making The Idol with Euphoria creator Sam Levinson. Tesfaye and Fahim will produce the film with Kevin Turen and Harrison Kreiss.
On the work front, the Grammy-winning and Oscar-nominated musician is set to star in HBO’s ‘The Idol’.
Ortega was last seen in record-breaking Addams Family series, ‘Wednesday’ as Wednesday Addams. The show smashed Netflix viewing records and has been renewed for a second season.
Keoghan was last seen in ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’, which earned him a BAFTA win last week.
