BANGKOK: Around 13 people have been killed and 41 injured in a fire incident at a nightclub in Thailand.
According to foreign media, a fire broke out in the Mountain B nightclub, about 180km southeast of the capital Bangkok late at night, which quickly engulfed the large area.
Due to flammable foam covering the walls of the nightclub, the intensity of the fire increased and many people did not get a chance to save their lives.
According to media reports, the people present in the nightclub were busy dancing under the influence of alcohol and did not know what disaster had occurred by the time the situation was realized, it was too late and the fire had gotten out. All roads were closed.
13 people have died and over 40 have been injured as a result of a heavy fire at a pub in the eastern Thai province of Chonburi.

It is to be noted that videos of the nightclub fire incident are surfacing on the internet, in which people can be seen running out of the club screaming and their clothes on fire. As soon as the incident was reported, the fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control within two hours.

Among the dead are 4 women and 9 men whose bodies were found near the door, toilet, and DJ booth. All the people were local citizens. Moreover, the police have started an investigation to find out the cause of the fire.
Thailand Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha has asked club owners across the country to build emergency exits. It should be noted that in 2009, a similar incident took place in Bangkok when 60 people died due to a fire in a night club.
