Messaging app ‘Telegram’ has allowed the option for its users to import their WhatsApp chats to Telegram.
Chats history from other apps other than WhatsApp can also be imported to Telegram. Following are the steps mentioned through which the chat from WhatsApp can be imported to Telegram.
The user must export his chats from WhatsApp from the chat actions options and then select Telegram from the iOS Share Sheet. To which the app will ask where the user wants to import messages to.
The user, however, can choose his own chat (saved messages), a new group, or any other chat. After the above two steps have been taken, the user’s imported messages and media can be seen in the Telegram chat that he selected.

All messages that the user has imported from WhatsApp or other apps will be marked in Telegram as “Imported”. Earlier, they were marked as “Forwarded”.
This feature has so far only been offered to iPhone users and is available on the App Store. However, an update for Android is soon expected as well, according to the sources.
