Swat court sentences man to 38 years for assaulting minor

SWAT: An Anti Terrorism Court on Tuesday sentences a man to 38-year imprisonment by for sexually assaulting a young girl.

Anti Terrorism Court Judge Ubaidullah Shah convicted Suhaibur Rehman on Tuesday in a case filed last year in a police station within the jurisdiction of Rahim Yar Khan. 

The court also monetarily penalized the convict by imposing a fine of Rs. 100,000. 

The sentencing in Swat comes amid outrage in different Pakistani cities over the killing of three young boys in Kasur district. The young boys went missing a few months ago. According to the medical reports, boys were molested before they were murdered.

However, the police have stated that they are investigating the case and have assured that the culprits will soon be behind bars.
