GUJRANWALA: Three suspects who were involved in multiple rapes while committing robberies in Gujranwala and elsewhere are reported to have been killed in an alleged encounter with police in Kamoke area of Punjab.

According to local police, three suspects identified as Zeeshan, Sajid and Amir, and believed to be involved in at least 4 cases of rape during robberies had been arrested after a lengthy investigation. It has been learnt that the armed dacoits raped the wife and daughter in front of father Pir Baksh four days back during a robbery.

Pir Baksh filed a complaint against the robbers at Aroop police station and slept at the neighbour’s house after the incident, after which the robbers traced their family, and raped again.
Caretaker CM and Police high top brass had taken notice of the heinous crime and had ordered strict action, after which their arrests were made possible.
It has now been learnt that at least 5 armed bandits attacked and tried to set these culprits free from Ludhyawala Police. During the exchange of fire, the three suspects Zeeshan, Sajid and Amir got killed. Their bodies had been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters hospital for autopsy, say Police.
