Netflix’s much-anticipated series ‘Stranger Things’ season four which will conclude with a two-episode, will stream its finale tomorrow.
Star Noah Schnapp, who plays Will in the series, has hinted that a major character will die. So who will die tomorrow?
Stranger Things season four
Stranger Things 4’s part 1 was overwhelmingly well-received and currently holds an 89 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The release of the first seven episodes of the season also broke a viewing record for Netflix.
According to the streamer’s internal measurement, season 4 racked up 286.79 million hours of viewing time worldwide from May 25-27.
Cast
Created and executive produced by Matt and Ross Duffer, Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman.
Season 4 also introduced a number of new actors including Nightmare on Elm Street star Robert Englund, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Joseph Quinn, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Nikola Djuricko, Tom Wlaschiha, Myles Truitt, Regina Ting Chen, Grace Van Dien, and Amybeth McNulty.
Vecna the villain
Inspired by the Night King from Game of Thrones, Vecna is the show’s most menacing antagonist yet, exacting his villainy by stalking traumatised teens with nightmares before slaughtering them in a truly horrifying manner.
The revelation of Vecna as test subject 001 aka Henry Creel in the volume one finale was indeed shocking for viewers.
The creator Duffer brothers said, “I hope that that is sort of the sense, because it is a darker season and the kids are no longer kids. And there’s sort of an ominous feeling that things might not go well. Now, whether they do [die] or not, you’ll have to watch.”
Who will likely die?
Season four saw the return of Eleven’s ‘Papa’ after he had been presumed dead for the previous two seasons, and it’s safe to say his return was not a welcome one.
Steve Harrington, yes many news portal believe the series favourite babysitter could be on the chopping block.
The reason being is that both the Duffers and Shawn Levy haven’t exactly been shy in warning us that volume two is set to send viewers into emotional turmoil and ‘punch you right in the heart’.
There are several major characters with whom he has strong relationships, making his death all the more heartbreaking.
He’s best friends with Robin and is the only person who knows she’s gay, he and Nancy seem to have unfinished business, and he’s like a big brother to Lucas, Max and especially Dustin.
Robin
Robin was a fan favourite when she was introduced to us in season three and became an invaluable member of the Scoops Troop.
However, in the new trailer, Robin can be seen saying, “I have this terrible feeling that it might not work out for us this time.”
If Robin does die, mind, it would contribute to the harmful trope of queer characters never getting a happy ending.
Is season 4 the end of Stranger Things?
Luckily no, ‘Stranger Things 5′ will be the series’ final season. It does not yet have a production timetable or a premiere date, but it will exist within a very different Netflix landscape.
