PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa SSP Sonia Shamroz Khan has been nominated for the International Police Officer of the Year Award.
Hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, SSP Sonia Shamroz Khan has been nominated for best policing and prevention of violence against women.

She will be presented with the International Police Officer of the Year Award in Auckland, New Zealand. It should be noted that Sonia Shamroz Khan not only established a complaint cell to prevent forced marriages in Bitgram, Chitral but also worked with various organizations to address women’s issues and the rising trend of suicide.
Due to the efforts of Sonia Shamroz, there has been a significant reduction in the trend of female suicide in Chitral.
