Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Jawan’ has entered the Rs 200-crore club at the global box office within just two days.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Jawan made Rs 53 crore on day two, which is nearly as high as the opening day haul of SRK’s last film, Pathaan.
Pathaan held the record for Hindi cinema’s biggest opening day before Jawan out-performed it by nearly 20%. The action thriller made Rs 74 crore across all languages in India on day one, easily outpacing Pathaan’s record of Rs 57 crore.
With the estimated Rs 53 crore on Friday, the film’s two-day net total in India stands at Rs 127 crore. Of this, Sacnilk says, an estimated Rs 47 crore came from the Hindi-language release.
