Squid Game to re-edit its phone number used in series

SEOUL: The highly anticipated series recently released on Netflix ‘Squid Games’ is going to re-edit the phone number used in the series.

Netflix announced that it will change the phone number they used in the series, as that turned out to be associated with women living in Korea in reality. However, the lady associate with the number says that she is deluged by the number of calls she gets on a daily basis from the pranksters who tease her.

A South Korean businesswoman in Seongju said to local media that she had been receiving thousands of texts and calls to her phone, to the point that it’s hard for her to go on with daily life, she asserted.

She further stated, “This is a number that I’ve been using for more than ten years, so I’m quite taken aback. There are more than 4,000 numbers that I’ve had to delete from my phone.”

According to sources, the woman even denies the compensation amount up to 5 million, which she was offered by the officials. Moreover, the Squid game since its release on September 17, has been watched over a million times all over the world now, making series the most viewed series of 2021. Although, The thrilling and suspense plot of the ‘Squid Game’ series makes its viewers glued to their screens till the climax.
