KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Sindh has taken notice of viral videos purporting to show that plainclothesmen of Special Branch were roaming around freely inside a polling station in Malir, NA-237, and as per some reports, are also involved in rigging.

In a letter addressed to the Inspector General of Police, Sindh, the ECP requested to take immediate necessary action against such unauthorized persons across the board and submit report in the subject matter forthwith for placing the same before the Hon’able Election Commission of Pakistan.

The ECP, in its letter, said that presence of any unauthorized person in the polling station was not allowed, and was also violation of law and ECP code of conduct.
The Election Commission urged upon the IG Sindh to take immediate necessary action against such unauthorized persons across the board and submit report.
