LAHORE: Former Federal Minister and Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Asad Umar has alleged that out of fear of Imran Khan and in the greed of personal interests, some elements are bent upon endangering democracy in the country, and to serve a dent to constitution and integrity of the country.

Talking to media here on Monday after filing petition in Lahore High Court (LHC), he said some elements didn’t allow making of constitution in Pakistan for almost 24 years, and attempts to suppress popular voices resulted in the unfortunate disintegration of the country.
Referring to the petition filed in LHC, Asad Umar expressed firm belief that election (in Punjab and KP) would be held in 90 days, and that the court wouldn’t allow conspiracy to undermine the constitution succeed.

The PTI leader said that everyone in the country was concerned about the current situation, as blatant violations of the constitution were being committed. He further said that the country appeared divided into two segments, one of which stood with Imran Khan and democracy while some elements were bent upon endangering democracy, constitution and the integrity of the country.
