LAHORE: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has reversed the notification of increasing gas rates for tandoor owners on Saturday.
The notification was reversed in Lahore after the Naan Bai Welfare Association staged a protest against SNGPL.
According to the company, a revised notification by OGRA will be issued soon. The tandoor owners will be charged the same rate they were charged in July.
The Naan Bai Welfare Association staged a protest outside the company’s office in Lahore to express their resentment over the issuance of inflated gas bills and its decision to increase the cost of gas.
It is not the first time when a protest was staged against the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines in the same regard.
In July, Naan Bai Welfare Association in Lahore had called for a shutter down strike and demanded an increase in roti price citing hikes in flour, electricity and gas rates.
