The Princess of Wales ignored Meghan’s “cries for help” and can be “cold”, according to a controversial new book that reports several allegations about the royals. However, initial reviews suggest it lacks the explosive impact of Spare, the Duke of Sussex’s candid memoir.
Titled “Endgame” and authored by Omid Scobie, the Sussexes’ journalist supporter-in-chief and co-author of “Finding Freedom,” the book delves into a royal family purportedly “in crisis.” Some media outlets, known for their pro-monarchy stance, have labeled it as one-sided, with an unnamed royal source reportedly deeming it “depressingly poisonous.”

Despite Scobie’s clarification in pre-publication interviews that he did not interview Harry and Meghan for the book and is not personally acquainted with Meghan, he acknowledged having mutual friends with her, which aided in obtaining information.
Here are key revelations from the book:
King’s Heir
Prince William’s actions reportedly unnerved the king, with suggestions that William attempted to overshadow Charles, viewing him as a transitional king. The book portrays William as “hot-headed” and a “company man” who questioned Charles’s competence in handling the Duke of York situation. Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace are depicted as “hives of competing agendas.”
Angry King
William’s decision to distance himself from Lady Susan Hussey after an incident with a black charity leader reportedly irked Buckingham Palace. The book claims Charles was disappointed by William’s lack of involvement in his environmental initiative. Charles supposedly felt a sense of satisfaction during the criticized Caribbean tour by the Cambridges. Harry and Meghan’s eviction from Frogmore Cottage is described as a form of punishment.

Brotherly Strife
William allegedly believes Harry has been “brainwashed” by therapists and ignored texts from Harry on the day of the late Queen’s death. The book claims that the Waleses allowed negative stories about the Sussexes to circulate among staff.
Thankful Queen
Camilla is said to have thanked Piers Morgan for defending “the firm.” The Duchess is described as dismissing certain concepts as “lefty nonsense.”
Letters from Meghan
Harry was reportedly disappointed when the royal family stood by amid bullying allegations against Meghan. He confronted his father and brother after Prince Philip’s funeral. Charles is quoted as saying the institution can’t dictate media actions. Letters exchanged between Charles and Meghan after her Oprah Winfrey interview allegedly reveal the individuals who expressed “concerns” about Archie’s skin color.

Queen in Training
Kate is portrayed as reacting humorously when Meghan’s name is mentioned, accused of being cold and ignoring Meghan’s “cries for help.” The book describes Kate as an “inscrutable queen in training – an institutional dream come true.”
