KARACHI: Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has opened its own robot facility with the three-dimensional laparoscopic theater to provide the best surgical facilities to its patients.
According to a press release issued by SIUT, the three-dimension surgery facility will provide relief to patients with less pain, less loss of blood, less risk of infection, shorter hospital stay and quicker recovery time.
The press release added that the robot was in the process of being installed.
Renowned philanthropist Mr. Bashir Dawood donated an amount of Rs 450 million to establish the unit.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bashir Dawood lauded the dedication and professional excellence of SIUT doctors and paramedics.
He has also vowed a donation of Rs. one billion to build an SIUT Children and Cardiac Hospital.
