KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Wednesday issued the orders against parking mafia to stop charged parking throughout the city.
According to sources, during the remarks session of a trial case against illegal parking collection Karachi, Sindh High Court’s judge ordered to stop exploitation of public in the name of charged parking.
Meanwhile, judge further inquired from Commissioner Karachi and DMC Karachi that, according to which law parking fees is being collected from public?
Moreover, Justice Iqbal Kulhoro, presenting his remarks said, the staff humiliates public if they deny of giving the bills, and with whose permission they are collecting parking fees on every corner of this city?
On the other hand, court further ordered the KMC officials to present the plans of illegal encroachments over the nullahs of Abu al Hassan Asfahani road till date of 14 November.
However, Judge further investigated that how the building constructed over the nullah did got leased? To which, Advocate S M Mustafa replied that, the action took place with the joint hands of Karachi Municipal Co-operation and Land Mafias accordingly.
