KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced to reward individuals who will assist authorities in identifying garbage throwers.

The Sindh government on Tuesday has announced a reward of Rs100,000 for identification of garbage throwers in Karachi.

Minister of Information Saeed Ghani was speaking to the media, where he made the announcement while claiming that problems are being deliberately created in the metropolitan city.

The senior PPP leader stressed that the cleanliness campaign has been ongoing for three continuous days and the drive has yielded in positive results. He encouraged that citizens should record videos of those who throw garbage outside on the streets and inform the relevant authorities.

He slammed Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) for staging protest against the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board. He maintained that the protest has stopped the department from fulfilling its duties. “Everyone knows who block the sewerage system by putting sacks in it”, he commented.
