KARACHI: Sindh Government has announced February 5 as a public holiday for all departments, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under its administrative control, with the exception of essential services, on occasion of the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
A statement by Sindh government stated on the event of Kashmir Solidarity Day, observed on February 5, also a one-minute silence will also be observed at 10:00 AM, to remember Kashmiri Shuhada.

Earlier on Tuesday, Hurriyat leaders in occupied Kashmir commended the government and the people of Pakistan for extending their complete political, diplomatic and moral support to the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In connection with Pakistan’s decision to mark 05 February as Kashmir Solidarity Day. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the Chairman of the Hurriyat Forum in a message said, the Kashmiri people want to see a politically stable and economically prosperous Pakistan.
