In a major relief initiative for low-income citizens, the Sindh government has announced a free solar system program aimed at helping households struggling with high electricity bills.
Under this project, 130,000 families across Sindh will receive free solar systems. The scheme targets consumers who use less than 100 electricity units per month, aiming to provide relief to the economically vulnerable and promote alternative energy sources.
Eligibility Criteria
Only those consumers are eligible whose electricity usage has been under 100 units for the past 6 months.
Applicants must not have received a solar system under any other government scheme.
How to Apply
Fill out the application form.
Attach a copy of your latest electricity bill and national identity card (CNIC).
Get the form attested by your Union Council (UC) chairman or a gazetted officer.
Submit the completed application to the Department of Energy Sindh – Project of Home Solar System (On-Grid).

The last date to apply is August 20, 2025.
