KARACHI: Sindh High Court on Wednesday ordered the demolition of illegal 5-storey building in Orangi Town’s Frontier Colony.
The Sindh High Court heard a petition regarding illegal constructions in Frontier Colony, located in Karachi’s Orangi Town.
Javed Iqbal Advocate appeared in the court on behalf of petitioner Muhammad Nisar.
Petitioner’s counsel stated that construction work has been done in Plot No. 111 Block D, Sector 3 Rabbani Mohalla. The SBCA declared the five-storey building illegal. Sindh Building Control Authority officials said they wanted to take action but local police were not cooperating.
The court remarked that why nothing has been done since 2017? SBCA officials said police co-operation was needed for the operation.

The court also directed the concerned director SBCA to appear at the next hearing along with the implementation report.
Earlier, the Sindh High Court remarked that the illegal constructions in the city are impossible without the help of SBCA and sought an implementation report from the Director SBCA Jamshed Town on the petition regarding the construction of unauthorized portion in Jamshed Town.
