Sharmila recalls her father’s trial in Nawaz Sharif’s tenure

KARACHI: Pakistan People Party (PPP) leader Sharmila Farooqi recalled her father Usman Farooqi’s trial during his detention by then prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

PPP leader took to twitter and said that her father was denied medical treatment in the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

She further extended wishes for long and healthy life of Nawaz Sharif.

She wrote, “I used to cry for his life and health…Never got any respite from Nawaz Sharif but I still wish him good health and a long life.. I feel for Maryam Nawaz too.”

She also mentioned that her father was sent back to jail after only three days of his open heart surgery.

Her tweet came forward when people along with officials of government departments showed concern and extended their sympathies with Nawaz Sharif on social media.

Incumbent Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday issued directives to shift Maryam Nawaz at Services Hospital where she can stay with her father. 

Earlier, the initial medial reports stated that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has been diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia.

After his thorough medical examination in Services Hospital, the medical board decided to send Nawaz Sharif abroad for treatment.
