Scientists have developed a shark-proof wetsuit that makes swimming in the sea safer than moving on land, providing protection even from shark bites.
According to details, this wetsuit made by scientists is not only flexible but also provides protection from attacks of dangerous predators such as the great white shark. The research on the preparation of the suit was conducted by researchers from Flinders University, which is located in South Australia.
The research team analyzed four different bite-resistant materials and tested them against the bites of white and tiger sharks (which can be up to 3 meters long), for which a bite package was used that was made of foam similar to human tissue. Tests were carried out with 84 white sharks and 68 tiger sharks.

The results showed that these materials reduce the severity of bites compared to standard wetsuits. In particular, they prevent bleeding; however, they do not completely eliminate danger, as internal injuries or crushing injuries are still possible.
Researchers believe that while these suits do not eliminate all risks, they can help save human lives by reducing bleeding and severe injuries. This research will help in making better decisions for professional activities and public use.
