RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed two high profile terrorists during an operation in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, military’s media wing said in a statement on Tuesday.
The ISPR added that the forces conducted an intelligence-based operation during the night between May 16 and May 17 in Boya area.
The terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire with the forces.
During the operation, weapon and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists.
They belonged to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. They were identified as Rasheed alias Jabar and Abdul Salam alias Chamtu.

Earlier, Six terrorists belonging to the banned Baloch Nationalist Army (BNA) have been killed in a clearance operation by security forces near Balochistan’s Sibi city.
During the operation, Sepoy Nisar embraced martyrdom while another two soldiers sustained injuries injured. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
According to ISPR security forces conducted an operation on the reported presence of terrorists in the Nagao Mountains near Sibi. Once the troops started clearance operation in the area, terrorists tried to escape from their hideout and opened fire onto security forces.
