ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has summoned Mayor Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Aziz over his unsatisfactory performance in the federal capital.
The hearing was conducted by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed during which he criticised Mayor Islamabad’s performance in terms of cleanliness and maintenance.
CJP Gulzar in his remarked that Islamabad as capital had a standard and should be maintained that way.
He also asked Ansar Aziz that why there was no cheap transport mechanism available for citizens. To which the mayor replied that the lack of funds had been a major barrier.
CJP Gulzar also ordered the mayor to ensure all resources were being made to keep the city clean and green.
