A Saudi citizen, who allegedly helped an Israeli Jewish journalist enter the holy city of Mecca, has been arrested.
According to the details, the Saudi media said that the police spokesman confirmed the arrest and said that the Jewish journalist had an American passport and the Saudi citizen who facilitated the Jewish journalist in Mecca has been arrested.
It should be noted that a Jewish journalist associated with an Israeli news channel entered the holy city of Mecca, which is forbidden for non-Muslims to enter, and made a 10-minute report, which was also broadcast by the channel.

After the criticism of the report, the Israeli journalist apologized saying that he wanted to show the beauty of Mecca and Islam to the world to promote religious tolerance.
It should be remembered that the entry of non-Muslims is prohibited in Mecca and a checking system is also working to prevent it.
Despite growing behind-the-scenes business and security contacts, Saudi Arabia does not recognize Israel and did not join the 2020 US-brokered Abraham Accords that saw the Jewish state establish ties with two of the kingdom’s neighbours, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.
