In a significant development, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Jawad Sohrab Malik, has inked a crucial agreement with NESMA & Partners, a leading contracting company in Saudi Arabia. The agreement, signed at the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh, opens the door for the export of skilled Pakistani labor to Saudi Arabia.
According to the agreement, tens of thousands of Pakistani workers are set to secure employment opportunities in the kingdom. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with the shared goal of contributing to Saudi Arabia’s ambitious infrastructure and development initiatives.
NESMA & Partners, renowned as the leading construction company in Saudi Arabia, is tasked with overseeing numerous mega-projects within the kingdom. The agreement is expected to empower Pakistani workers to showcase their expertise and make significant contributions to the success of critical infrastructure projects.
Jawad Sohrab Malik emphasized the stellar reputation of Pakistani workers, citing their dedication and hard work. The formal agreement was signed between the Pakistan Overseas Employment Corporation (POEC) and NESMA & Partners. The POEC, a government agency responsible for the recruitment and deployment of Pakistani workers abroad, joins forces with NESMA & Partners to create substantial job opportunities for Pakistani workers in Saudi Arabia.
Beyond job creation, the agreement aims to strengthen economic ties between the two countries. The signing ceremony was attended by key figures including the Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, the Director-General of the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE), and the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, along with community welfare attachés. This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to fostering cooperation and contributing to the mutual prosperity of both nations.
