RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has invited applications from interested individuals including foreigners such as Pakistanis for seasonal employment opportunities within the country during Hajj 2024.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially announced the commencement of applications for seasonal positions related to the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage, expected to draw approximately 2 million Muslims from around the globe.
Aspiring candidates can submit their applications through the ministry’s website, with the application window remaining open until March 28th.
In terms of job specifics, these positions will be primarily located in Mecca, Medina, and Jeddah, offering diverse employment prospects essential for the seamless facilitation of the Hajj pilgrimage—an integral pillar of Islam.
The available roles encompass a range of positions, including supervisors for Hajj and Umrah, customer service representatives, mechanical technicians, engineers, and drivers.
It’s noteworthy that the upcoming Hajj is scheduled for June, and the kingdom has already finalized Hajj agreements in preparation for the event. Notably, the first Hajj flight has already landed in the kingdom, initiating a process that will continue over the coming months.
Additionally, the kingdom is currently welcoming Muslim pilgrims for the Umrah season, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, which traditionally witnesses a significant influx of Muslims to the country.
